The image that was used on the cover, would normally come off as artistic, opposed to commercial. although it technically could work either way. It could be commercial if you were trying to sell tattoos, or display them as an advertisement, because all the focus is on her body art. It it artistic from the perspective that it in black and white, and the rose is handcolored. The vertical framing works well with the cover, because it naturally fits the screen.
